Cookies Policy
European Equity Research Partners, S.L. ("EERP" or the "Company") uses cookies and similar technologies on its corporate website in accordance with applicable law, in particular Article 22.2 of Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services (LSSI), Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), Organic Law 3/2018 on Data Protection (LOPDGDD), and the Guidance on the Use of Cookies published by the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) in its version in force.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files installed on the user's device when accessing a website. They allow recognition of the user, facilitate navigation, and provide statistical information. This Policy also covers equivalent technologies (local storage, device identifiers, tracking pixels).
2. Types of cookies used
First-party (managed by EERP or by its website platform provider on its behalf) and third-party (managed by external providers).
Session (deleted on browser close) and persistent (defined period).
- (a) Strictly necessary technical cookies — enable basic website functionality. No consent required (Art. 22.2 LSSI).
- (b) Analytical cookies — measure usage. Consent required.
- (c) Functional cookies — remember preferences. Consent required.
- (d) Advertising/marketing cookies — EERP does not use behavioural advertising, retargeting or direct marketing cookies on its corporate website. Should this change, the Policy will be updated and prior consent will be requested.
3. Cookies used
The EERP website is hosted on the Squarespace platform (Squarespace, Inc., New York, United States). The complete, up-to-date list of cookies is available in the cookie configuration panel accessible from the permanent icon in the website footer.
Strictly necessary (no consent required)
- Session and security cookies — session management, anti-bot protection, and form integrity (including crumb and equivalent). Duration: session or short-term. Provider: Squarespace.
- Consent management cookies — store the user's cookie preferences. Duration: up to 12 months. First-party.
Analytical (consent required)
- Squarespace Analytics cookies (ss_cid, ss_cvisit, ss_cvr and equivalents) — first-party cookies used to measure aggregate website usage (visitor count, pages viewed, traffic origin). Duration: up to 24 months. Provider: Squarespace.
Functional (consent required)
- Language preference cookies — Duration: up to 12 months. First-party.
The corporate website does not currently incorporate third-party embedded content (videos, maps, social plugins). Should this change, the Policy will be updated to identify each provider.
4. Consent and management
On the first visit the user may: (a) accept all cookies, (b) reject all non-essential cookies, or (c) configure granular preferences. The "reject all" option has the same visual prominence (placement, size, colour) as "accept all", in line with AEPD guidelines and EDPB Guidelines 03/2022 on deceptive design patterns. The user may access all content on the website even if non-essential cookies are rejected, with no limitation on the information available. Consent will be requested again 24 months after it was last given, or earlier if there is a material change in the cookies used. The user may modify consent at any time through the configuration panel accessible from the permanent icon in the website footer, and may also configure their browser:
- Google Chrome: support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647
- Mozilla Firefox: support.mozilla.org
- Apple Safari: support.apple.com/safari
- Microsoft Edge: support.microsoft.com/microsoft-edge
- Brave: brave.com/privacy-features
- Opera: help.opera.com
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect the proper functioning of the website.
5. International transfers
The Squarespace platform is operated by Squarespace, Inc., based in the United States. Personal data associated with cookies set by Squarespace is therefore transferred outside the European Economic Area. Squarespace is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, so this transfer is covered by the adequacy decision of the European Commission of 10 July 2023 (Art. 45 GDPR). Where additional providers are used in the future, EERP will require appropriate safeguards under the GDPR.
6. Personal data
Processing of personal data associated with cookies is governed by EERP's Privacy Policy. Users may exercise their GDPR rights (access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, portability, withdrawal of consent) as described therein.
7. Modification of this Policy
EERP reserves the right to modify this Policy to reflect legal, jurisprudential, organisational or sectoral changes, or changes in the cookies actually used. Material modifications will be communicated through the corporate website. The current version is always available on the website.
8. Contact
Queries about this Policy may be addressed to privacy@europeanequityresearch.com or to EERP's registered office.
9. Applicable law
This Policy is governed by LSSI Law 34/2002, GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679), LOPDGDD (Organic Law 3/2018), the guidelines of the Spanish Data Protection Agency, and the European Data Protection Board Guidelines 03/2022 on deceptive design patterns.
